Understanding Loneliness

In this section you can see a summary of research work conducted on loneliness. The summary is organized in three main parts: what loneliness is, the different types of loneliness, and the various ways that people cope with loneliness.

The Experience of Loneliness

This section describes research I conducted looking at how people describe loneliness through their poetry writings. I have summarized the results and presented in three main parts: what people say are the causes of their loneliness, what loneliness feelings like, and how to people deal with feelings of loneliness.

Take the Lonely Quiz!

Think you know a lot about loneliness? Want to learn more about loneliness? Then try the Lonely Quiz. It contains 12 questions about loneliness. After you answer each question, it will tell you if you answered them correctly and explain the answer to each question. Take it as many times as you like and share it with your friends.

The Art of Loneliness

Join a growing number of people who are expressing themselves through the Web of Loneliness.  Find out if your experience of loneliness is similar to those who have posted up their artwork.  You can view loneliness definitions, poems, pictures, and music.  Feel free to contribute to this 
collection by submitting your own material for others to 
view and admire.
