| pretty cool website,, but trying to find its purpose as in..... it would
be nice to sponser some kind of structured meetings where lonely ~shy~
types can feel safe learning about and becoming acquainted with others
-And please make gay people feel welcome, my god here in the corn &
bean hinterlands we experience lonliness times the square root of lonely

| I'm not sure I am lonely or just depressed. I am not working right now,
(why I feel alienated). Also, I have a history of depression, probably due
to my being single and not having a personal relationship with anyone in a
number of years. I believe I am too old. From what I read of the two types
of lonely people, I guess I would be considered the one that is somewhat
afraid of getting too close to anyone, less they ask me a wuestion I would
find embarassing. I usually get along well with fellow workers, but I
don't socialize outside of work. Anyway, I thought I would answer your
questionnaire. I usually like to do tests that relate to who I am. I hope
this will explain better than the questionnaire, what I am about.

| "I am doing a cause and effect paper for my english class, and i
have to come up with 3 major causes of one subject,,,i was wondering if
there are some major causes of lonliness i could use in this paper,,,,it
can be my opinion,,,,,i dont have to site anything,,it is a very informal
paper,,,i just have to support my thesis,,,also i am very interested,,,,i
had no idea that so many people feel the way i do......lonley has been the
only word i have been able to think of to describe my life in the past
year,,,i thank you for the webpage,,,,i did take your survey....i hope

| I guess it helps to be reminded that lonliness is a human trait. If we
could find a way to realize this in ourselves and eachother maybe we would
have more empathy twords eachother and the sadness would go away. maybe.
